Rick is a third generation Floridian and has been an active angler in Homosassa, Crystal River, and the Florida Gulf Coast since 1974. He grew up fishing the rivers, lakes and salt flats that make Central Florida an angling paradise. Rick is now applying his expertise in fly and light tackle fishing as a full time professional guide. He is licensed and certified by the United States Coast Guard.
Rick has the unique skill of combining your interests in fishing with the opportunities for catching great fish to produce trips that your friends will envy.
Homosassa Fly Fishing Guide
One of Rick's passion's is fly fishing and he has been actively doing it in Homosassa since 1995. You can call yourself an expert when you can tie your own flies like Rick does. If you want to try your hand at "the quiet sport," Rick will have you casting like an old handin short order.
Active in the community, he speaks at countless events, expo's and organizations around the state of Florida, not just Homosassa and Nature Coast. Acurrent member of FOWA (Florida Outdoors Writers Association). He writes weekly and monthly fishing articles and reports for 4 different publications. (Citrus County Chronicle, Sumter Express, Woods-N-Water, and Coastal Angler Magazine.) He founded The Floral City Anglers, out of historic Floral City, Florida overseeing over a 100 members.
Homosassa Fishing Instructor
Rick is a regional and Board of Director in the Florida Guides Association, and committee member in good standing with CCA.(Coastal Conservation Association). He is currently employed by the Citrus County Parks & Recreation as the Fishing Instructor as well.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made within 72 hours of your scheduled departure or a cancellation fee of $175 will be charged. No show passengers are charged the full rate for their charter.
Exceptions: Extreme or medical emergencies.
