Private Instruction

Captain Rick Burns offers professional experience since 1974. And is a full time guide. Rick can come to your place of residence, or a mutual meetiing place to teach you fly casting, cast net throwing, or just plain fishing period.

We Provide...

All fishing licenses for you and your guest.

  • All tackle and equipment (you are welcome tobring your own)
  • Bait when necessary
  • Boat and fuel
  • Ice and cooler for fish
  • Your catch cleaned and bagged
  • Digital pictures
  • First aid kit
  • All U.S.C.G. approved equipment
  • Hard work and great attitude
  • A lifetime of expertise (30 years) on local
    • waters

You should bring...

 

  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses (polarized is best)
  • Hat
  • Light colored clothing (layers during coldweather)
  • Deck shoes, boat shoes or athletic shoeswith light/white soles
  • Lunch/snacks/beverages,in own small cooler (playmate or such), (noglass containers please)
  • Camera (optional)
  • Rain gear (optional -- check the weatherforecast)
  • Waterproof bag for your camera, cell phone,etc. (1 gallon ziplock works)

In the Winter, Spring and Fall the temperature range is from the 40s to the 80s. In the summer, it can get well into the 90s. Be sure to bring clothing for the season. When it is cool out in the morning, layers are good because you can always shed what you don't need as itgets warmers during the day.
